We are very excited and it gives us the greatest of pleasure to announce that Ron Warmington of Second Sight will be speaking with us about his extensive career as an auditor and fraud investigator.

Many of you will no doubt have heard of Ron and his colleague Ian Henderson If not, they are the Chairman and Director (respectively) of Second Sight which was appointed by Members of Parliament to investigate multiple assertions that the Post Office’s ‘Horizon’ computer system was generating spurious branch shortfalls and that sub-postmasters were being forced to pay the shortfalls and even prosecuted.  Despite attempts to force them to quit, Second Sight’s investigators revealed the ugly truth and the case received huge media attention following the record-breaking ITV drama: 'Mr Bates vs the Post Office' together with its related 'Real Story' documentary.

Toni Sless (Chair and Founder of the Fraud Women's Network) had the pleasure of working with Ron at General Electric many years ago and is delighted and honoured to welcome Ron to speak with our Members.  Toni will be chatting with Ron about his life as a fraud investigator and you will have the unique opportunity to hear about his career and to talk to him directly (under Chatham House Rules) about the Second Sight Investigation into the causes of mysterious shortfalls in branches of the Post Office, revealing what has been described as the country's worst ever miscarriage of justice.

Agenda:
17:30hrs to 18:00hrs - Registration and welcome
18:00hrs to 19:00hrs - Ron Warmington and Q&A session
19:00hrs to 20:30hrs - Canape reception hosted by Greenberg Traurig LLP

In advance of the event, you will have the option to write any questions you'd like answered by Ron in the registration form. We will also get in touch in advance to give you opportunity to provide us with any question(s) you'd like to ask Ron, alternatively, subsequent to registration, you can email us directly. Not that Ron has asked for advance warning of the questions, he’s happy to be surprised and you will of course be welcome to ask them on the day, but by giving us advance notice, as we know you will no doubt have many questions, will give us the opportunity to collate them for Ron, to ensure he can answer them all.
