Our next Fraud Women's Network Event takes a look at the increasingly complex world of phone and email scams from the perspective of the security responders charged with investigating them.  Our speaker is Tom Parker who runs BT's Trust and Safety Centre.  His team are responsible for investigating the millions of abuse and phishing emails, fraudulent text messages and voice scams - and let's not forget spam - that are reported to BT each year.  Tom will be sharing some of his experience around how his team deals with the complex nature and increasing sophistication of these frauds, and how quickly fraudsters have switched to operating across multiple channels in response to enhanced security measures.  We'll hear how these types of scams have evolved more broadly as well as more specifically what impact the pandemic has had on the types of scams his team are seeing and how they've upped their game to protect customers in the infinite game of fraud prevention.
