Registration is closed

We promised you that we would be finding an alternative solution to our “normal networking events” and are now delighted to advise that we have a series of virtual events lined up for you, our Members. The first one being on Wednesday 24 June 2020 at 17:00hrs to 17:45hrs with Laura Eshelby, Head of Counter Fraud Professionalisation and a Senior Leader within the UK Government’s Counter Fraud Centre of Expertise in the Cabinet Office.   Laura is now also coordinating the central Government Counter Fraud response to the COVID-19 crisis, with a focus on intelligence sharing, from business, law enforcement to the public sector.

This event offers an opportunity to hear about Laura and her teams’ rapid response to the COVID-19 fraud threat and how they are working across Government to monitor, mitigate and manage this. Thereafter there will be opportunity for Q&A.

At our “normal” networking events we always offer you canape and drinks, but being a virtual event, of course this is not possible, so in time honoured spirit (excuse the pun), if you’d like to bring a glass of your favourite tipple with you whilst attending our virtual event, then please feel free to charge your glass.

Later in July / early August 2020, our next event will feature Geoff White, Investigative Journalist who will be talking about his book which will be released in August.  The book, entitled Crime Dot Com charts the astonishing development of hacking, from its conception in the United States’ hippy tech community in the 1970s, through its childhood among the ruins of the Eastern Bloc, to its coming of age as one of the most dangerous and pervasive threats to our connected world. Geoff will also be offering a discount on the book to FWN Members, details to follow soon.

We look forward to seeing you on 24 June 2020!

Thank you, for your continued support and, for bearing with us whilst we navigate the “new normal”.

Keep well and safe.
